It’s hard to imagine a better voice for Edward, Bella and, especially Alice than Ilyana Kadushin’s. The timing, tone and velvet sound of her voice really make you believe that the Cullens could sell imported coal in Newcastle. In fact, as good as the movies are, the biggest let down was their inability to portray the sense of perfection that Ms Kadushin conveys with her voice (and, of course, Meyer conveys in her writing). If you like the Twilight series, I believe you’ll love this reading. As much as Jim Dale has come to be associated with the Harry Potter series (with a nod to Stephen Fry’s fine reading), I now can’t image another voice giving life to Bella or Alice.
